For a long time, I thought I would write about my own life. But when I actually tried, it felt too vulnerable... and I realized some of those stories weren't mine alone to tell.
So I turned to fiction.
And strangely, that's when the words started to flow.
I could take pieces of memory, the mental chaos, the aftermath, the things we carry quietly, and weave them into characters and places that belonged entirely to the page. Somewhere along the way, I realized I was still telling the truth. I was just disguising it as fiction.
That's probably why I'm drawn to stories about memory, grief, trust, love, and the things we think we've buried.
